White Chicks is a ridiculously funny comedy about two goofy brothers, Marcus and Kevin Copeland (played by Marlon and Shawn Wayans), who happen to be even goofier FBI agents.
After screwing up a very important bust at the beginning of the movie, the brothers try to kiss up to their boss by volunteering to escort two very high-class bourgeoisie sisters, Tiffany and Brittany Wilson (played by Maitland Ward and Anne Dudek) to the Hamptons for the weekend.
The sisters are completely unaware that they are in danger of being kidnapped and are being used as bait to lure kidnappers to the Hamptons. All the sisters plan to do over the weekend is party and hope to be on the front cover of the Hamptons magazine.
Their plans are trashed after the brothers involve the girls in a minor car accident caused by the sister’s dog. The accident causes one of the sisters to have a busted lip so they both refuse to go to the Hamptons, so in order to save their jobs, the quick thinking brothers decide to get some help from FBI lab experts to become Tiffany and Brittany Wilson for the weekend.
As the brothers are getting used to becoming white chicks they encounter all sorts of problems. They have to convince their boss and the rest of the FBI that they are actually the Wilson sisters.
The guys do not pass up a chance to express their feminine sides by giving their boss compliments like,”Oh has anyone ever told you that you look like Denzel Washington?” They also stick it to their fellow co-workers by treating them like their personal slaves. Once they fool the FBI, they also had to fool an even more elite group of people; the Wilson sisters’ friends.
The brothers were forced to shop, act and party just like the Wilson sisters. Tiffany (Marlon) gets hit on by a very ambitious pro basketball player while Brittany (Shawn) is forming a love interest with a local reporter. The brothers are constantly changing from male to female and all the while Marcus’ (Marlon) wife Gina (played by Faun A. Chambers) is accusing him of cheating. She blows the brothers cover by coming to the Hamptons to confront her husband. Meanwhile the real Wilson sisters show up and cause chaos. The brothers have to figure out a way to save the day by doing as much damage control as possible.
This movie is a perfect example of the word comedy. The entire cast made the movie enjoyable, but the Wayans proved that the brothers are hilarious as men, but also as women. This is a great movie to watch whenever you need a good laugh. If you are in a bad mood after watching this I guaranteed that you would feel better. If the overall goofiness of the movie doesn’t make you laugh, then the corniness of it will. White Chicks is now available on video and DVD.
