UTM will participate in the Murray State University Twilight Invitational Track and Field Meet Saturday, April 26 at Marshall Gage Track in Murray, Ky. The meet is the last regular season meet for the Skyhawks before the Ohio Valley Conference Championship.

Also participating in the women's Twilight Invitational is Arkansas State, Austin Peay, Bethel, Fisk, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Murray State, Southeast Missouri State, Tennessee Tech and Tennessee State. The meet gets under way at 11 a.m. with the field events.

Katie Mirgliotta will vie for titles in the discus, javelin and shot put for the Skyhawks. Mirgliotta has the third best discus throw in the Ohio Valley Conference at 137'10."

The Skyhawks have two throwers among the top 10 in the OVC in the javelin. Mirgliotta is currently six with a throw of 111'06, while Michelle McCormack is eighth with her throw of 109' 06. The Skyhawk runners are also among the conference's best, especially when it comes to the distance events. Shalaine Phaup has the league's second fastest time in the 5,000 meters at 18:19.28 and the third fastest time in the 10,000 meters at 3:53.71.

Phaup has the OVC's 11th fastest time in the 1,500 meters at 5:00.27.
