Being a freshman at the University of Tennessee at Martin is a far cry from being a freshman in a high school.
A panel of 30 freshmen - including 27 council members and three alternates - has been selected to represent all freshmen through the Student Government Association. Our job as SGA Freshmen Council members is to represent the freshman population in the decisions that are made. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments about ANYTHING happening on campus, find one of the council members or call the SGA at 587-7785 and they'll be happy to assist you.
Whether you want to report a problem in your dorm or in a class, or if you just want to know what the SGA is doing for you, see a Freshmen Council member for answers.
Freshman Council members will be meeting soon to discuss ideas pertaining to freshmen.
There are many ways for you to keep up with the Freshmen Council and SGA. Check out the SGA website at http://sga.utm.edu. You can also read articles about SGA in The Pacer, available at various locations on campus or you can search for SGA articles online at http://pacer.utm.edu.
Remember: the SGA is here to make decisions that will make UTM an even better place to be, and the Freshmen Council is here specifically to represent UTM freshmen in these decisions.
