The sisters of Sigma Alpha Iota will be having a car wash at Advanced Autoparts on Saturday, May 3.
All proceeds will be given to Merilee Vikers, a Huntingdon High School music student, who is going on tour in Europe playing the trumpet.
According to Amy Hutcherson, retiring president of SAI, Merilee is a female music student who is in need of funds in order to go to Europe. Because of this reason, SAI is the perfect organization to help raise money for her.
SAI is a music sorority that encourages the celebration of music.
“It’s for a really good cause,” said Hutcherson. “This opportunity will give Merilee good experience by touring and playing the trumpet in a concert tour.”
The car wash will be held at Advanced Autoparts from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Any donation will be accepted that day.
For more information on the car wash or to find out ways you can help with this cause, please contact any member of SAI or see Dr. Elaine Harriss, SAI adviser, in the Music Department.
