New Spike Lee flick might be a little different than what you’re used to

Inside Man is an intriguing film about a hostile bank robbery, and it’s up to detective Keith Frazier (Denzel Washington) and his partner, detective Bill Mitchell (Chiwetel Ejiofor) to take the criminals down.

Once on the scene, Detective Frasier realizes he’s not working with amateurs but very clever thieves who put their hostages in jumpsuits identical to the ones they are wearing in case police decide to raid the bank. What appears at first to be a typical bank robbery is soon revealed to Frazier as something more.

Once Madeline White, a power broker who works for the owner of the bank appears, detective Frazier knows his suspisions are right.

White is permitted to enter the bank after notifying Frazier that she can help him get rid of those nasty allegations being thrown at him about missing money on his job.

White tries to convince the robbers to hand over the secret document that they possesse so that she can give it to her boss who needs it before it is leaked.

The film has the usual Spike Lee touches to it ,showing parts of the movie ahead of time such as interrogating the hostages in the middle of the film while they are actually still inside, as well as characters moving fast paced and not really walking.

From time to time, viewers are ready to find out what exactly the robbers are in the bank for and what is the secret that they know all about. The film kind of drags on and on until finally you are let in on the point of the whole story. . It could have ended sooner than it really did but it’s worth going to a matinee to see.
