Spring has come once again and that tends to make students study less and party more. Thankfully, students have Spring Break to let loose and have some fun. Unfortunatley, Spring Break is already over, but students still have a chance to get that party bug out of their system. The SAC along with sophomore Computer Science major Bobby Crockett put together the "Dance Dance Revolution Party."

The purpose of the "Dance Dance Revolution Party" is for students to get a break from the back-to-school blues, and to come out and put their dance moves to the test.

You must move your feet according to the images on the television screen accurately in order to complete the screen with a high grade. Players are also able to compete against each other to see who moves the best. There are different levels to choose from, and you can also pick the type of music you want to dance to.

Nick Tanner, a freshman Nursing major from Chattanooga said, "This was a lot of fun, but it makes you so tired!" Many students also gathered around the dancers to watch and to offer words of encouragement to the opponent that lost.

According to gamespot.com, "The Dance Dance Revolution series has enjoyed a great deal of success in Japan for years now, both at home and in the arcades, with half a dozen different versions of the game and a handful of spin-offs and rip-offs. In 2000, Dance Dance Revolution USA hit US arcades, showing us what we've been missing out on". This game has also made its debut on the silver screen in movies such as "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen."

"I just thought this would be something fun to do and this is a good source of exercise," said Crockett. In fact, the state of West Virgina has gotten permission to add Dance Dance Revolution to their gym clasess, to help some students get into shape.

If you want to grab some of the dancing action, but are afraid to bust-a-move in front of strangers, you can pick up a copy of one of the many games, plus the dance mat, at many different stores, including Wal-Mart.
