International Week features food, forums

This week is UTM’s International Week, the highlight of which will be Wednesday’s International Forum.

Wednesday’s forum will be from noon to 1 p.m. in the UC Legislative Chambers and will feature a panel discussion with international students from about eight countries participating. Panelists will give their personal experiences living in the U.S. and will discuss global issues of importance to the U.S., says Director for International Education Paul Crapo.

“Our American students will profit greatly from what their international counterparts have to say and will especially enjoy the question-and-answer period,” Crapo says.

Another highlight of the week is next Monday’s International Food Fair, which will take place in the UC Ballroom from noon to 1 p.m. The International Week kicked off yesterday with a lecture on economic development in Africa.
