Dr. David Coffey, center, chair of the UTM Department of History and Philosophy, was recently named the featured scholar for the spring semester. Coffey joined the UTM faculty in 2001 and teaches classes in military, U.S. and Latin American history.

He has contributed to eight major historical reference works and is associate editor of two award-winning, three-volume projects. Joining Coffey at a reception are Chancellor Nick Dunagan, right, and Dr. Tom Rakes, provost.
