The FOX Broadcast Company unleashed its new primetime show Point Pleasant on Wed., Sept. 19.
Point Pleasant, a quaint New Jersey coastal village will become the battleground for the ultimate fight of good vs. evil. Point Pleasant is not your average night time drama. In fact it has a supernatural twist.
In the pilot episode we are introduced to Christina Nickson (Elisabeth Harnois) who is found floating in the ocean during a supernatural thunderstorm that rips through the village of Point Pleasant.
Once rescued by lifeguards, Christina begins to mingle with the members of the community. Love triangles, secrets and heartfelt drama begins to emerge. Not only do you have backstabbing, lying, secrets, love and romance, but the viewers are introduced to the supernatural elements of drama.
It turns out that Christina has a little secret of her own. It is revealed to the viewers that Christina is a daughter of a mortal “good” women and the Devil. It’s the story of a child of darkness who has a good heart.
Melrose Place alum Grant Show’s character Thomas Boyd is the devil’s right hand demon who will try to fully convert the young teen to the dark side. He will also use the teen to shed light on secrets and mysteries of the village of Point Pleasant which will cause pain and suffering for the residents.
Will Christina do his bidding or will she follow her heart? It is said that there are two sides to every soul, the good and the evil. Viewers will have to turn in on Thursdays to see what she decides to do and what side ultimately wins the battle between good and evil. Point Pleasant spices up the already hot Thursday night line up on Fox which begins with The O.C starting at 7:00 p.m.
