Do you want to get your regular meal from McDonald’s and make a difference in the lives of many?
Next Tuesday, you can do just that. Twenty percent of all sales between the hours of 5 and 7 will go to support CDS and the “47th Annual Telethon of Stars.”
Currently, CDS provides day services, vocational services and residential services to over 150 people in Weakley, Obion, Henry, Lake and Carroll Counties.
Clients of CDS also have the option of participating in sheltered workshops where they learn skills necessary to obtain jobs dependent on their work readiness. Clients work Monday through Friday packing, assembling and inspecting products for local businesses sub-contracted through CDS' workshops. Country recording artist Jessica Andrews and NBC Television's Jason Cook from "Days of our Lives" will be among many stars appearing in this year's 47th annual "Telethon of Stars.
The free event will take place at the Paducah Expo Center in Paducah, Ky. The event will be aired on WPSD News Channel 6 of Paducah beginning 10 p.m. Saturday Nov. 8, and ending at 1 p.m. Nov. 9.
