President
Erin Chambers Greeting Fellow Skyhawks! My name is Erin Chambers. I’m Political Science major from Bartlett, TN. I am currently a member of the Student Government Association, serving as a Senator from the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. During my two years in SGA, I have served as Freshman Council Procedures Committee Chairperson and many other leadership roles. Just a few of my external leadership positions include: Resident Assistant in McCord and Browning Halls, Assistant Vice President for SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise), Red Carpet Day Committee Chairperson for BSA, a mentor for the 2005 and 2006 Tennessee High School Leadership Conference and much more. I believe I would make an excellent President for the student body working hard to influence positive change on the campus of UT Martin. If elected, I would be honored to serve as your President for the upcoming 2006-2007 Fall and Spring semesters. Vote Erin Chambers!!!
James Orr Effective Connections My name is James Orr and I’m running for RE- Election as Student Body President at our University. The University is searching for a Vice Chancellor, Sodexho is looking for ways to better serve the student body, the Recreational Center Proposal goes before the Board of Trustees in June, the parking analysis will be conducted in the fall, and next year the SGA constitution will be revised. With all of these things going on it is important to have a representative in office that is experienced. We need someone that can come into office and fight for students without having to learn the process. I have chosen to run for Re- Election because I have a great passion for serving the Student Body at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Please come out and vote to re-elect me as your Student Body President. Also, vote to elect Chris Cherry as Student Body Vice President, Lindsey Sutherland as Student Body Secretary General, and all of the qualified members of Effective Connections.
Vice President

This past year in the Student Government Association, I have served as a Senator from the College Of Agriculture and Applied Sciences as well as the Senate Procedures Committee Chairperson. I have also served as chairman of the Senate’s Special Committee on Possible Game Room and Food Court Renovations. I am very excited about the upcoming elections, and I hope to have the opportunity to serve the student body once again in the coming year. Please support all of the members of Effective Connections.

Lindsey Sutherland Effective Connections My name is Lindsey Sutherland and I am from Martin, Tennessee. I am a junior English major also pursuing a minor in Political Science. Over the past three years at UTM, I have performed numerous leadership roles in Alpha Delta Pi, Sigma Tau Delta, English Society, and Rho Lambda. I had the privilege of serving the student body as a senator for the college of Humanities and Fine Arts last year and would appreciate the opportunity to continue representing the students of UTM as Secretary General for the upcoming term. I know I can effectively represent the wants and needs of our student body at UTM if given the chance. I encourage everyone to come out and vote April 12 and 13 for the Effective Connections.
